Ways to Wear Tights and Look Sexy Thu, 24 Aug 2017 14:07:14 +0000 There is a big difference between leggings and tights and they are still dressed differently, where leggings are much thicker, footless and sometimes worn as pants while tights are somehow sheer, cover the foot and must be worn under another garments. The only similarity they have is that they are skin-tight garments that cover the legs and sometimes the waist.

Apart from keeping the legs warm during a chilly night and during cold weather, tights have become an option for women to dress trendy and fashionably during cold seasons. However not everyone knows how to accessorize with tights to exude a sexy but an elegant appeal. Let us look at best ways to wear tights and look sexy:

  1. Wear tights with shorts

Weather seasons totally changes our flashy looks, where we need to cover ourselves a little bit more. The winter season creates a layered look with tights and a pair of high-waisted shorts. This is a great way to stay fashionable and sexy, and a good way to make your summer shorts more wearable during the fall and winter seasons.

  1. Wear your tights with a skirt or dress

skirt with tights

Different events demand specific colors and look. To achieve a dainty, sexy look while keeping warm, wear a mini dress or skirt over your tights. For formal events, plain black tights will look better with any dress color. Be sure to get the length right to avoid looking silly.

  1. Wear your tights with an over-sized sweater

We all have those oversize sweaters that don’t fit us, cold seasons are the best time to dress them. By pairing that sweater with some fashionable tights, which will make a nice twist to a seemingly plain sweater.

  1. Patterned and lace tights

Patterned tight falls under two categories animal printed and those with lines, the line might be vertical or horizontal. Animal printed tights looks great with shorts, coats and black ensembles.

The simplicity of vertical lines can look sexy on tight as well. If you are aiming for a unique fashion statement, pair printed tights with denim shorts or a plain mini skirt.

Complex lace patterns on tights are very fashionable, at the same time, sexy. Lace tights look best when worn with a semi-formal skirt and dresses, these kinds of tights can exude casual grunge when paired with shorts.

  1. Wear bright colored tights

With bright colored tights, avoid wearing patterned or colorful shorts and dresses to avoid a flamboyant look. Meanwhile, mustard colored pair would look elegantly sexy in an all-black ensemble.

Tights are prone to run because they are sheerer as compared to leggings and pants, therefore take note and avoid dressing in tights that are already damage. Extra care is required while dealing with the tights.

Different Body Shapes with the Right Type of a Dress Thu, 24 Aug 2017 10:52:25 +0000 We are all unique and different in our own way. The best intention you can ever have for your body is to understand your shape and the basics of dressing it. From my point of view, many women are a combination of several shapes but it is all about mixing and matching until you find what is best for you.

The most important thing is to embrace your shape and dress it appropriately. Here are several body shapes and the appropriate dress for each body shape:

  1. Curvy shape go for a wrap dress.

wrap dress.jpg

This shape is the most admired shape by many, but for you to show out those curves you need to look out for semi fitted styles that follow your curves and highlight your waistline. Avoid high necklines and anything too loose or too fitted.

  1. A full bust go for a shift dress.

If you’re in these category you still lucky since you can never struggle with breastfeeding because you have the right size for a baby to enjoy being feed. But then again when it comes to dressing you need to look for a semi fitted shapes that have open necklines and nipped in waists.

Avoid high off-the-shoulder and boat necklines, formless A-lines and styles with wide belts.

  1. A small bust go for a strapless dress.

Tall or petite women can fall under these category since a bust cannot much with heights, therefore they need to look for strapless styles that add definition to the bust.

Avoid anything with built-in boning or darts that you can’t fill out.

  1. Short go for a sheath dress.

Short women tend to be more advantageous when it comes to dressing since most of these dresses can fit their bodies very well, though to be more appropriate they need to look for a simple silhouettes that will accentuate your petite figure without overwhelming it to shine their height.

Avoid full skirts and anything with a large amount of embellishments.

  1. A long waist and short legs go for an A-Line dress.

Out of ten, probably four of the women have a long waist and short legs, if you under this bracket look for A-Line styles that keep the eye upward and away from the waist.

Avoid anything that accentuates you natural waistline.

  1. A boyish frame go for a shirt-dress.

Having a boyish frame is different from being a tomboy. If you fall under the group look for belted styles that curves.

Avoid T-shirts and tank dresses or any voluminous styles.

  1. A tummy go for an empire waist dress.

tummy dress.jpg

Most of the women today they are unable to get rid of the tummies mostly the baby fat, though some got naturals tummies but whichever way your stomach came into formation look for dresses that do not accentuate the waistline.

Avoid anything that highlights the waist and dresses that are too tight.

  1. A short waist and long legs go for a bias-cut dress.

Height is a blessing and to shine that height look for dresses with a torso lengthening draped neckline.

Avoid anything that accentuates your natural waistline.

First Date Outfit Ideas Mon, 21 Aug 2017 13:07:36 +0000 I would like to congratulate you for that hot date with that lovely girl. It has been a journey from spotting her, making that effort to have a conversation with her and finally she agrees to have that date probably with all sorts of conditions. And it is because of that courage in you that now you have a date and not just a date but also a first date. Remember you don’t need a second chance to make that first best impression

Classic casual.

The ultimate question running through your mind is what you are going to wear. Is it official, casual or sloppy don’t you worry. So let’s get down to business and get to know the outfits to go for when it’s at night and during the day. The outfits will run from casual to a little bit dressy.

Day Time Dates Wear

For a day time date get to casual. Probably the old school style where you pick a pair of boots, a pair of dynamite lightly distressed denim pants (the super dark ones save them for an evening date) and for a shirt, a t-shirt would be appropriate, probably a V-neck fitted one and a leather jacket will absolutely rock that look. If you don’t like or feel the look the next one will be a good choice too.

chino trao.jpg

This one is still casual but it will be a little bit dressier. Go for chino and maybe a lightweight V-neck sweater, and for the shoes a mid-range loafer would do and make sure to wear matching and coordinating socks. When it comes to pants go for a nice lightweight casual cochino, which are not too dressy like pleated khakis and not too casual. They are a little dressier than jeans.

cochino traouser.jpg

Night Time Dates Wear

It is okay to rock jeans but it is better if you take it a notch higher in terms of dressing. It’s fun to have a playful shoes and they should be nicer than the casual ones you wore during the day. The jeans definitely should be dark denim and for a shirt, a simple fitted white oxford will absolutely rock. There is something about the clean simplicity that you will love because this option is not too flashy or flamboyant and you can’t go wrong rocking this.

dates clothes

The next option, you can take it up one more dressy level. Maybe the date as planned will involve several activities such as dancing, therefore you need to dress up a notch higher. You can never go wrong with a nice dark monochromatic look; charcoal grey slacks, lightweight V-neck sweater, where the sweater is on top of a white collared shirt though you can rock any other colour other than white and a pair of simple black slip-on loafer shoes.

Gentleman, now you know how to rock on your first date, if the date goes well you will be the lucky one. Thank me later.

Dressing Your Skin Tone Sat, 12 Aug 2017 14:49:16 +0000 This is a continuation of the previous article on How to Wear the Right Colour for Your Skin Tone.

Based on the tones mentioned in the previous article, I am going to give you colours that will work best for your undertone. Once you have determined what your undertone is, these are the colours you need to stick to. Though I need to make a point clear that, this doesn’t mean that you only have to wear these colours. This mean that these colours will make you look better; your skin is going to glow, you are going to pop and everyone is going to appreciate your look. Here are the skin undertones:

  1. Warm undertone

If you ran through the test and you figured out that you have a warm undertone, rich colours like orange, golden, yellow, red, amber, olive green and deep blues will bring out your colour beautifully. Your natural colour is going to pop when you wear these colours. On the other hand you might want to avoid more muted colours like brown and dark greys, since these will tend not to be as resilient against your skin and won’t look as good.

  1. For the cool guys

If you notice that you have a cool undertone, then more drool colours tend to look good against your skin. Colours like a ruby or burgundy looks amazing on cool undertone, blue or sapphire colour also look great on cool undertones, royal blue, lavender, emerald green, which is also like a forest green and light pink all look great on cool undertones.

On the other hand, you want to avoid strong rich colours, as they will easily overwhelm your overall look and just wash you out and make you look pale. Strong orange or your deep yellow those are the ones you might want to stay away from, which is the direct opposite of warm undertones since warm undertones look great in those colours.

  1. Neutral undertones

If you went through the tests and couldn’t decide which one you are, chances are you are neutral undertone and if that is the case you should look at the colour wheel and kind of focus on colours that fall in the middle of that colour spectrum. They tend to be lighter colours like light peach, light blue, light green and off white tend to look amazing. Greys look great you too. They really give your skin that pop that you looking for.

On the other hand, those colours you want to avoid are the ones that you are going to overwhelm your overall look, which tend to be the vibrant strong colours like bloody red or strong yellow. Those you might want to stay away from if you neutral skin undertone.

The above will make you think over before you decide to choose on colours.

How to Wear the Right Colour for Your Skin Tone Fri, 11 Aug 2017 13:24:09 +0000 Every positive or negative action done you always expect responses right, left and center. When you figure out about your tone and dressing expect compliments too. The confusion that revolves around the skin undertone is that many of us go by what their skin colour is but this can really change due to many external factors. For example, medication could make you turn red, and going out to the sun will cause your skin to change its colour. What you need to focus on is your skin undertone since it is what seeps through and ends up determining your skin tone.

I am going to give you two methods, which will help you zero-in on your skin undertone:

  1. Make sure you wash your face off from any moisturizer, any dirt and oil and make sure it is nice and clean. Then grab a piece of paper and step outside into natural light you can ask a friend or whoever is close to you to take a picture of you or hold up a mirror and see what colours kind of reflect on the white paper. You will instantly be able to see some type of shade.

For example:

  • If you start seeing more of an olive yellow brownish type of tones, this means you have a warm skin tone.
  • If you see more pink, red or blue type of tones, this means you have a cool skin tone.
  • If you see more of a grey or ash just can’t really determine between the two chances are your undertone is neutral.
  1. Try the watch testers. Where you grab two watches or any jewellery that is gold and silver again go out to natural lighting and put them against your skin and check which one look best against you, which one really gives you that vibrant pop,
  • If it is gold, you have a warm undertone.
  • If it is silver, you have a cool undertone.
  • If you can’t decide and both just look good on you, you are neutral.

Check out on my next article to learn more on how to dress your skin tone.

Ways to Look Taller and Slimmer Thu, 10 Aug 2017 19:49:21 +0000 A petite stature has its advantages for instance, you always look younger than your actual age, and however there are some drawbacks. You need to choose clothes and accessories carefully because some combination can shorten your figure and private of all its gracefulness.

Let us follow on some advices I gathered from top stylists on how to accentuate a petite stature

  1. Tops and skirts

To look stunning you should remember about maintaining the right figure proportions. Your choice of cloths plays a significant part in this.

Wearing your top loose cuts your figure in half, making your torso look massive and longer and shorten your legs. It is better to wear the top tucked into the skirt as this will highlight the waist, lengthen the legs and make your figure slender and more fragile.

Another option is to wear a crop top and skirt set and you will notice a difference.

  1. Belts and shoes

When it comes to shoes, clashing colours or bulkiness can make your legs appear much shorter. If you like, wearing shoes or sandals that buckle at the ankle the straps should match the tone of your skin. In addition, you should avoid belts, a belt creating a visible horizontal line makes the torso look wider. Meanwhile vertical lines, a dress without a belt and lighter coloured shoes make you noticeably taller and slimmer.

  1. Jackets and blazers

Petite girls shouldn’t wear large or elongated jackets, suits or blazers. Visibly they shorten the legs and makes the silhouette blurred and unwieldy. Instead, choose jackets and blazers that are small and volume cropped and fitted up to the waist or slightly below. You should also choose your bags carefully, the shopper bags will make your overall image more cumbersome. The best option for a petite girl is a small bag of a width not exceeding 10 to 11 inches. If you prefer backpacks, they too should be small and have neat geometric shapes.

  1. Cardigans

images (35)

Keep in mind that your cardigans must not be too bulky or have conspicuously large details such as sizable patch pockets. Long cardigans present an easy solution adding a few inches to your height without the help of high heels. Such clothing does a perfect job of creating uninterrupted vertical line, which visibly enhances your stature.

  1. Dresses

Voluminous dresses look best only on tall girls when worn by miniature beauties. They press the wearer’s figure down to the ground, shortening your silhouette and in particular your legs. Instead go with vintage sheath dresses, they suit petite women just fine, by giving them correct proportions and stretching the silhouette up well.

  1. Contrasts and monochromes

Contrasting colours in clothing such as a bright tough and dark bottom separate the figure in half, creating a horizontal boundary line that emphasizes your lack of height. In comparison, monochrome will noticeably lengthen the silhouette moreover, brightly coloured clothes look more voluminous.

  1. Jeans and tops

An ordinary t-shirt and jeans might divide your figure in half however, a cropped top is the perfect choice for women of small stature. Combining it with a high-waist jeans helps to lengthen your legs significantly.

Another option is to wear a crop top and skirt, try it and the results will leave you pleasantly surprised.

How to Hide a Belly with Outfits Fri, 04 Aug 2017 10:17:32 +0000 Being a woman comes with a high price since you are expected to be at your best look day in and day out, even at an old age. One thing that affects women is the belly or tummy or baby fat. The obvious choice when trying to hide a belly is to wear baggy clothes but actually, when you wear baggier clothes they will make you look bigger than you actually are. Therefore, I want us to look at some styling tips and point out what you should look for next time you go out for shopping.

Having a bit of a belly does not necessarily mean that you heavier, since these might be genetic meaning you cannot do much about it. So let us look at the dos and the don’ts if you fall under this category.

The don’ts:

  1. Wearing shirts that hit exactly at the top of the waistband of your pants, since that area tends to be the biggest part of your stomach.

2. Stay away from tiny belts, if you going to wear that tiny belt a little high up at your natural waist that is fine but never wear the small belt along the biggest part of your stomach because you are literally drawing a line around the circumference of that area. The tiny belt also draws people’s eyes around that area as well.

If you love belts, I would highly suggest that you go for a belt with a width of an inch or more, since it kinda balances out the proportions, covers and can hold you a little bit more.

The dos or the outfits you can dress and flatter your tummy and look lovely:

  1. Longer tops

Longer tops are ideal especially when they hit a couple of inches below the waistband, because longer tops will not cut you off in your biggest area at your waist.

  1. Anything with a peplum…

…because if fits well at the waist and then it kind-of flatters out. These will also give you room to sit and the belly cannot be seen.

  1. Anything with texture

The texture kind-of distracts someone from noticing the stomach unlike being in a skin-tight dress or top.

  1. A-lining dresses

These are very flattering to every figure, since the dress does not hug the body whether at the front or at the back; it is very free flowing and very comfortable.

  1. Vest-like blazer

A vest-like blazer hides a multitude of figure issues that you may have and the blazer being long, causes the eyes to look up and down rather than side to side. Therefore, it is great in concealing the tummy and it is very comfortable.

Girls! Tips to Easy Dressing Tue, 01 Aug 2017 11:54:09 +0000 Dressing can be quite a challenge for some of us. The challenge might be from ignorance, lack of own style, low esteem or lack of information. I would like to discuss some of the tips and tricks on how to get dressed up every day and how to figure out what to wear and look stylish.

I understand some of us get frustrated when they try to dress up, where you have an idea of what you want to look like, but you don’t know how to achieve that look so you end up going back to your same old look.

My mission is to help you achieve your look by following the tips outlined below:

  1. Individual or personal decision

You need to figure out what you want to look like, since you will at least have a guide and somewhere to start. Whether you want to look sporty, casual, or as a super girly girl or you want to look as a super chic all the time.

  1. Look at your closet

First thing, purge your closet and get rid of those clothes that you are not using, especially that outfit that has taken a year since the last time you wore it, because chances are you are not going to wear that outfit.

maxresdefault (2)

After purging your closet look and analyse the outfits that you really don’t get to wear so that next time while doing your shopping you will avoid getting more of what you don’t need or like.

  1. Get good basic pieces

Let us look on the basic important attire that I think is okay for everyone and that is a bodysuit. A bodysuit gives some shape to your body so that you are not frumpy looking. Basic pieces that have really versatile colours like cream, white, nude, black and blush pink look very nice, so opt for more fancier basics over t-shirts.

  1. Invest in good outerwear

By outerwear, I mean jackets, nice cardigans and blazers. This acts as accessories to your outfit, so you can go plain for example all black, throw on a jacket and automatically you look really put together on your upper level and you are good to go.

  1. Whether change

Most of the time when it is too hot out there and you don’t need a third piece. It obvious you need to go a little bit lighter, so make sure you invest in some nice blousey pieces.

As I conclude, the habit of shopping just to fill up your closet should stop. When shopping just ask yourself, if what you shopping for will still be in use in the next coming months, if not get something else.
